Tuxedo Fitting

The boys went for their tuxedo fitting today! Raine likes to dress up like this because he feels like he is a waiter!

ペリー、ダニエル、レインと今日はタキシードのフィッティングへ！花嫁さんと比べると、かなり簡単！レインは、こうやってスーツを着たりするのが大好き！レストランのウエーターの気分になれるからだって！

これでもか！というほどのカルガリーフレームズの写真を撮ってきてしまった！トロントにいると、メープルリーフチームのグッツばかりだから、カルガリーに来てかなり幸せなそうなレインだった！

Every time when we drove by this innocent chicken was calling me!

I LOVE fried chicken and thought to myself "I have to try it before leaving Calgary." And we did! All I can say is IT IS YUMMY! It has crunchy skin but it's not greasy at all! I had NEVER enjoyed fried chicken this much in my life! If they came to Toronto I wouldn't mind working there...

ペリーとジェンの家に帰る時に必ず車で通るのが、この黄色いお店「CHICKEN on the WAY」！通るたびにこの外にいるニワトリは、純粋な目で車に乗っている私を見つめてくる。鶏肉と豚肉が大好物な私は、「カルガリーを離れる前に絶対食べるぞ！」と決心。

そしてある午後、今日の夜ご飯どうしようか？と、そこで私は（ジェンが結婚式までダイエットをしていることを承知の上で）「CHICKEN on the WAYにしよう！」と提案した。ペリーとジェンも近くに住んでいながら一度も食べた事がなく、夜ご飯はそれに決定になった！

お店に着くと、なんと長い行列。ドアを開けて、一歩踏み入れた時、プ〜ンとあの唐揚げ独特なにおい！今でも忘れられない！！！本当はチキンだけいくつか買って帰るつもりが、16ピースのチキン、Lサイズのポテトフライとソースはグレービー5個も買ってしまった！

熱々のうちにと急いで帰り、ジェンが作ってくれたサラダと一緒にテーブルの上にのせた。そして、一口パリッ！と。

お、お、おいしいーーー！（マンガ美味しんぼのように読む事！）

KFCより100倍美味しい！並んで買ったかいがあった！！！鶏のカワがパリパリして、でも全然油っぽくない！！！今までの人生で、鶏の唐揚げをこんなにenjoyして食べた事がないのでは？そしてこんな笑顔は愛する旦那にも見せた事がないという抜群の笑顔で食べた私！今思うと、「食」って人を幸せにするスゴいものだなーと。

もしこのお店がトロントに来たら、そこでバイトしてもいいかも...　

Downtown Calgary

This is our 3rd trip to Calgary but we didn't get a chance to explore the whole downtown yet. Today, we decided to hop on the train and go!

カルガリーには3回来ているが、ダウンタウンをきちんと歩いた事がないような...　なので今日は電車に乗ってダウンタウンに出発！

Sunnyside Station - we bought our tickets but don't see anyone working here...

ここはサニーサイド駅。チケット買ったはいいけど、なんで駅員さんが誰もいないんだろう...　聞いたところ、カルガリーには駅員さんというのが存在しないらしい！

Clone Trooper

Raine LOVES Uncle Perry! He is fun always patient with Raine! Since we don't live in the same city and don't get to see each other very often Perry always treats Raine with something he wants. This time Raine picked this voice changer helmet! 

レインはペリーおじさんがだ〜い好き！いつも一緒に遊んでくれて、とにかく楽しい！でもカルガリーとトロントだから、年に一度二度会えるだけ。いつも会うと、レインをおもちゃ屋さんに連れて行ってくれて、好きな物を買ってくれる！今回もいつものようにおもちゃ屋へ。なぜかレインはこの大きなスターウォーズのヘルメットを選んだ。最初は持って帰るのに大きすぎるし、これの何がいいんだろう？と。でもそれで遊んでるレインを毎日見てると、「もし自分がかぶったらどんな姿になるんだろ...」と思い始め、ついにかぶってしまった！

Trip to Calgary

Leaving for Calgary! Our 3 week vacation officially began! This is one of the greatest things about being self-employed! We can take off anytime we want!

8月4日から我が家の3週間バケーションが始まった！フリーランスで仕事してたり、自営業をやっていると好きな時に休みが取れて、ある意味ラッキー！まず、最初の目的地はダニエルの弟の結婚式のあるカルガリーへ出発！

4 hours to kill in Edmonton...

「マミー！なんでこれゲームオーバーにならないの？$１しかいれてないのに、15分以上もレースしてるような...」

かなり揺れたけども無事にカルガリーに到着！と思ったら、レインの新しいホッケーのスティックがこんなんで出てきた！エアーカナダに弁償してもらうように早速文句！！！

After the long plane ride from Toronto, we had dinner at Jen's parents house! Great home cooked meals and we literally relaxed! Jen's sister, Karrie and her son, Devon came to see us too! This is them playing hockey after dinner!

長い一日だったけども、ジェンの親がBBQディナーに招待してくれて、たくさん美味しい食べ物に囲まれ、パティオでリラックス！ジェンのお姉さんケリーと2才の息子も私達に会いに来てくれた！これはBBQの後にやったホッケー大会！

Journey to the Center of the Earth

Took Raine to see Journey to the Center of the Earth! He had never seen a 3D movie before and didn't know what to expect! You have no idea how many times he jumped during the movie (that made me jump too!)!

He enjoyed it very much but I know that he LOVED wearing the glasses more than anything!

レインを3Dの映画「Journey to the Center of the Earth」に連れて行ってあげた！今まで一回も3Dの映画なんて見た事のないレインは、何が起こるかわくわくドキドキ！

1時間半くらいの短い映画だったけど、レインにしてみるとビックリするシーンがたくさんあって、その度に眼鏡をはずしたり（はずすと3Dじゃなくなるから怖くないらしい！）、叫んだり。隣に座っていた私は、映像よりもレインの叫び声に驚かされた！

初めての3D映画、レインはかなり満足のようだった！でも何が一番楽しかったかと言うと、眼鏡をかける事らしい...

Trip to Huntsville

Raine's Grade 1 teacher, Brooke invited us to her wedding in Huntsville. She actually asked Raine if he could play the violin during the ceremony. He was thrilled and practiced everyday for the past 6 months. "Here Comes the Bride" wasn't the hard piece to play but he wanted it to be perfect for Brooke.

The wedding was GORGEOUS! Brooke's mom has a cottage and the ceremony was held in her front yard. It was just perfect and something we would never forget!

We wish you both the best of luck!!! Congratulations Brooke and Dan!

レインの学校の先生（ブルック）の結婚式でハンツビルという所に行って来た。去年の秋くらいに、レインはセレモニーの時に、ぜひバイオリンを弾いてほしいと先生から頼まれ、ここ6ヶ月間ほど毎日練習をしていた。

ブルックのお母さんがハンツビルに別荘を持っていて、その前庭で夜7時から（星の下での）結婚式だった！目の前には大きな湖があり、期待していた以上にゴージャスな場所での式でした！

おめでとうブルック！これからずっと仲良く幸せにね！

We've been driving about 2 and a half hours and are now stuck in traffic...

People here are very friendly. Everyone says hi to us as we walk by!

小さい町だからか、みんなフレンドリー！笑顔でこんにちはは、やっぱり気持ちいいね！

ブルックのお母さんは、毎朝この景色で目が覚めるんだ〜。うらやましい！

"I'm not afraid of mosquitoes out here. I'm covered! Don't tell anyone, my mommy got 75 mosquito bites so far...yikes!"

「蚊がたくさんいるって聞いたけど、僕は洋服でカバーされてるから大丈夫！内緒だけど、マミーはもうすでに75カ所刺されたんだって...って言うか実際に数えたマミーがスゴい！」

"To tell you the truth I don't know who I'm dancing with...but I'm having fun!"

「僕が一緒に踊っている男の子は誰？？？まっ、楽しいからいいか！」

The next day, we made a pit stop at this skateboard park before heading home.

次の日、トロントに向かう前にスケートボードの公園にちょこっと寄り道。

"Raine, are you ready to go back to Toronto?"
