Red Wings #66

Hockey Season kicked off this weekend! Raine had his first game on Saturday and his second game on Sunday! They were both at 8AM!

Raine's team is called "Red Wings" and his number is 66! Found out that his friend from school and his another friend from Hockey School last year happened to be on the same team!

長い事待っていた、ホッケーのシーズンがとうとう始まった！レインのチーム名は「レッドウィングス」で背番号は66！！！最初のゲームが土曜日にあり、第二ゲームが日曜日！どっちも朝8時開始。眠たいながらも、朝6時半起きで行って来た！そこで発見したのが、学校のお友達Jamieと、去年のホッケースクールで、一番仲良かったお友達のEvanと同じチームな事がわかった！今年は楽しいシーズンになりそうだね！

It's 7:30AM! Daniel is putting Raine's skates on!

朝7時半！ダニエルがレインのスケートを履かせてるとこ！

Raine's first goal! Unfortunately I didn't quite film it. I got SUPER excited and was jumping up and down! 

It was 7 to 3 and Raine's team was losing until the last 3 minutes! They scored 3 more goals and it became 7 to 6! The whole crowd was standing up and cheering for the kids. 

これはレインがゴールを決めた瞬間！残念ながら、うまくビデオは撮れてなかった。興奮してたせいか、全然違うとこ写してた...　

この試合は最初は7対3でレインのチームが負けてたのに、残りの3分で7対6までもってきた。特に最後の3分は、見に来た人達みんなが、立って叫んだり、リンクのガラス叩いて応援する状態！その中で私は横に座っているダニエルをチラッと。なんと、静かにじっと座ってレインの事を応援しているではないか！ここまで自分をコントロールできるダニエルはある意味スゴいと思った。でも多分、周りから見ると、かわいい犬の赤ちゃん（ダニエルの事）の隣に、狂った怪物（私の事）がいるような感じ？

Raine got a blister...yikes! After the game the coach asked us if Raine could be at another tryout this Friday for the rep team! Can't believe he thinks Raine is ready for that! Let's keep our fingers crossed!

試合の後、靴擦れができたことを発見！痛いよ〜！と思ってると時にコーチが来て、今週の金曜日にある一つレベルが上のリーグのトライアウトに来ないか？だってー！！！去年の今くらいからホッケー始めたのに、それを考えるとちょっと進むのが早すぎるような...　レインは嬉しくて、やる気満々！

Hockey Evaluations 2008-2009

Raine had his evaluations for house league hockey! He did very well!

A couple of days later we received a call from one of the coaches saying that Raine is in and his first game is this Saturday! We are now officially hockey parents!

先週末に、レインはホッケーのハウスリーグのトライアウトがあった！2日間に分けて、朝早くからのトライアウト！見てるだけで、レインの一生懸命さがつたわってきた。夏の2週間のスケートキャンプと、リジャイナでのホッケーキャンプと、ここ何ヶ月間でがんばってきた努力をコーチ達に見せる事が出来たようす！

トライアウト終了後、コーチ達のミーティングがあり、その後にコーチから直接電話での知らせがあるはず...と思っているさきに我が家の電話が鳴った。

やったー！！！！！

レインがチームに入れた！初試合が今週の土曜日、朝8時開始！レインも大喜び！よくがんばったね、レイン！これでダニエルと私は本格的なホッケーママとパパだっ！

A little visitor from Regina!

Daniel's high school friend, Derek came to visit from Regina with his wife, Joleen and their little girl, Sereena! Perfect for a walk by the lake! Raine enjoyed pushing the stroller very much! She seemed to like it too! :)

ダニエルの高校の時の友達、Derekが奥さん、Joleenと数ヶ月前に生まれた赤ちゃん、Sereenaを連れてトロントに遊びに来た！天気が良いので、湖の周りをお散歩する事に！モノを押したり、引いたりする事が大好きなレインは、楽しんでベビーカーをおして、Sereenaに観光案内をしていた！Sereenaもニコニコ笑ってご機嫌だったよう！

「チーズ！僕のマミーが写真とるよ！」

"Sorry Sereena...it's a bit bumpy!"

「ごめんね。ちょっとガタガタ道通るよ！」

"You are doing a great job pushing! I think you were born to push!"

「レイン、君はベビーカーおすために生まれてきたような子だ！上手！」

Raine is in Grade 3!

Raine started 3rd grade! Time flies! I've been filming Raine's first day of school ever since kindergarten! Feels like yesterday that I was filming him at the docks waiting for the ferry on his first day of kindergarten! He didn't know anybody there and his eyes were wide open because everything was so new to him. He looked nervous! Looking at him now makes me realize how much he's grown! 

Raine, hope you have another great school year!

9月からレインは小学校3年生になった！幼稚園の時から毎年、初日にレインが学校に行くところをビデオで撮っていて、今年はすでに5年目！幼稚園の一番最初の日に、フェリーを待っている、心配そうな顔したレインを撮影したのが昨日の事ように覚えている！その事を考えて今のレインを見ると、よくここまで成長したな〜って。

また今年も楽しく、思い出の残る学校生活になりますように！
