Nottawasaga Summer Tournament 2011

We had a summer tournament in Alliston. Since Raine hadn't played hockey for 2 months he was so PUMPED!

アリストンという所にホッケーのトーナメントで行って来た。ホテルも2泊3日とり、ちょっとした家族旅行♪レインのチームメイトはみんなサマーホッケーをやっているけど、レイン（くらいじゃないかな？）はテニスとかバスケと夏は違うスポートをやっていて、ホッケーは2、3ヶ月ぶり！だからか、かなり気合いが入っている様子。

Summer Vacation!

Raine's summer officially kicked off! He has just moved into his grandparents house. Over this long weekend he had a sleepover with his friend and has been playing a lot of street hockey with his grandpa! So far so good!

レインの夏休みが始まった！今年の夏はダニエルの親の家にお引っ越しのレイン！まだ夏が始まったばかりなのに、友達とお泊まりをしたり、おじいちゃんと外でホッケーやったりと、計画通りの夏休みらしい！

School is officially over!

Raine cleaned up his locker and brought back his art pieces that he worked on this year.

今日で学校が終わり！明日からはいよいよ夏休み♪今日は自分のロッカー掃除をしたらしく、今年作った作品を持って帰って来た！

Got a guitar!

Raine's been talking about taking guitar lessons. His dream finally came true! He just got a guitar and had a first lesson today! When he got back he was jamming and pretending to be the guitarist from AC/DC!

ずっとギターやりたい！と言われていて、今日やっとギターを買いに行って来た！そして初レッスンもしてきた！レッスンはスゴく楽しかったらしく、（もちろん）まだ何もひけないが、めちゃくちゃ引いて自分はAC/DCのギターリストのつもりらしく（笑）、ずっとひいて遊んでた。

York Toros BBQ

We had a BBQ get together with the hockey team. We didn't expect anything good to eat(we thought it was going to be hot dogs and burgers). We were SO wrong!!! Coach Dave grilled ribs, lambs, sausages, and many more! It turned out to be the best BBQ ever!

After lunch Coach Dave and the kids started a water balloon and water gun fight. They had the blast!

ホッケーチームでBBQ大会があった。こっちのBBQなんていつも、ホットドックとかバーガーばかりで、全く期待することなく向かった。とろこが、到着するとなんとコーチがリブ？ソーゼージ？？ラム肉？？？を焼いてるではないか〜！驚くことに、今までで一番サイコーなBBQとなった♪

お腹が一杯になった後、コーチが用意してくれてた、水てっぽうと水風船でバトルがスタート！誰が見ても一番盛り上がってたのはコーチ（笑）だけど、それに負けず子供たちも真剣にバトってた。

They finished water balloon fight and moved on to baseball. The kids thought Raine was a good player because he hit so many home runs! If you take a good look at this picture you can figure out why he hit so many home runs...he was using a tennis racket!!!

水風船で遊んだ後、今度はチームに分かれて野球をスタート。ゲーム開始。レインはホームランばっかり打って、友達はみんな『Wow, he is good!』と関心。でもよーくこの写真見ると、ホームランばっかり打てる理由がばれてしまう（笑）！こういう事には頭がフル回転する息子です。そりゃテニスラケット使えばホームランも簡単だよね〜。

家の近くをお散歩してたら、カナダの警察ドラマ『Flashpoint』の撮影現場を発見！別に見た事ないけど、興奮した。

Raine vs. Mom

I beat Raine! Yeah!!! FYI, I don't take it easy when playing sports against kids. Why should I? I need to teach them life is not easy.

レインと家の前のコートでバスケをした。2回簡単なゲームをしたが2回ともマミーの勝利！イエ〜イ♪ダニエルとか（っていうか普通の大人は）近所の子とサッカーしたり野球するとき、子供に勝たせてあげるけど、その意味がよく分からない（笑）。レインのママは本気でやる！そんな人生甘くないことを、しっかり今のうち教えるのがみほ流子育てっ！

Happy 70th Birthday!

Daniel's dad turned 70 today! Perry, Jen and we gave him a white iPad2. We loaded some pictures of Raine and Adrien, set up Skype and gave him basic tutorials. I'm sure he'll enjoy this gadget(or we will when we go to Oakville!).

For his B-Day, his brothers and sisters came from the states. He wanted to show off his new toy but instead he DROPPED IT in front of everyone!!!!! The screen of course cracked BIG TIME! We couldn't believe what we saw but went to the Apple Store right away. They were nice enough to give us a new one since we just purchased it! Thank goodness!!!

今日はダニエルのお父さんの70才の誕生日！プレゼントとして、ペリー夫婦と一緒に白いiPad2をあげた。孫の写真とムービーを入れたり、スカイプをセットアップしたりと簡単な使い方を教えてあげた。あまり理解ができてないようだけど（笑）まー遊びながら使っていくのが一番かな。

誕生日でお父さんの兄弟がアメリカから祝いに来てくれた。そこで『こんなモノもってるで〜』（←なぜか関西弁となった）とiPad2を自慢しようと手に取った！と思いきや、手に取れてなかったらしく、新品iPadをバーン！！！とみんなの前で落としてしまった、号泣。スクリーンを見てみるとめちゃめちゃヒビ入っている〜〜〜。みんなに自慢したくてみせるつもりが、落とすとこをパフォーマンスしてしまった、悲。かなりブルーなお父さん、次の日にアップルストアーに持って行ったら新しいのとすぐ交換してくれた！さすが世界のアップルだぁ。

Adrien enjoys shopping more than Raine does(Ha!)! We were drumming on a julienne slicer box! See Adrien, Auntie Miho can make anything into a toy!

Adrienとショッピングに行って来た。レインより、ショッピングに連れていきやすいことが発覚！途中で、キッチンのお店に入り、スライスするやつ（スライサーって呼ぶのかな？）買ってその箱をドラムとして遊んだらかなりの好評！おもちゃを買うよりこっちの方がよっぽどクリエイティブでいいよね〜。

Grocery Shopping

We went grocery shopping! Raine volunteered to carry Adrien. (Is it just me or does Adrien look bigger than Raine??) The store was about 10 minutes away from the house. Raine did good but had to stop halfway. I guess Raine realized his little cousin wasn't so little!

家の近くのスーパーにお買い物に行くことになった。レインは『僕がAdrienだっこしていく！』と言い、いざ出発！ところが、歩き出して5分もたたないころかな？

もうだめだ〜〜〜、汗

となげきギブアップ。既に自分の1/3の体重の子をだっこして歩くのは辛かったらしい（笑）。写真見ると、どっちがだっこされてるのか分からないかもね。

Swing

Adrien explored the nearby playground in Oakville! We found a pretty cool swing(I wanted to go on it too!) and Raine was a big helper for Adrien!

オークビルのおじいちゃんおばあちゃんの家の近くの公園に、Adrienをデビューさせることになった！滑り台はまだ上手できなく大失敗となったが（笑）、このかっこいいブランコはかなりのお気に入りとなった！

Auntie Jen and Adrien came to Toronto again! It's been 2 months since we saw them. I think Adrien remembered his cousin Raine! Raine was SO excited that they came to school to pick him up today!

JenとAdrienがトロントに2ヶ月ぶりで来た！3月に初めてご対面の2人！なんとなくAdrienはレインのこと覚えている感じかな？今日は学校までわざわざお迎えに来てくれて、レインも大喜び♪

Happy Mother's Day!

We went to Niagara Falls with Daniel's parents for Mother's Day! The weather was perfect and we had fun shopping! The trees behind us were pretty!

母の日と言うことで、ダニエルの親と一緒にナイアガラに行って来た！お天気も良く、何よりもアウトレットでのお買い物が楽しかった〜。桜もどきの木の間をお散歩もして気分はいやされた♪

Raine wanted to try the boat ride. We can probably do it when Jiji comes this summer. 

マミーは夏にならないとこのボートはやりたくないな〜。びしょびしょにぬれるから、夏にじじ来た時にやろう！

After lunch we drove through the wineries and went to the Niagara-on-the-Lake!

ランチでお腹いっぱいの後はワイナリーの景色を見ながらナイアガラ・オン・ザ・レイクまで行った！いや〜満足の一日でした！

New Toy for Daniel!

Daniel got a new toy for himself! He's been a Mac person for years but wanted to try something different this time. I think ever since Raine got a Windows laptop for his birthday Daniel wanted to get a Windows phone. He's been having too much fun with it!

ダニエルが新しいおもちゃを買った！ずっっっとMacを使っている人だけど、今年レインに誕生日プレゼントとしてWindowsのノートパソコンを買ってから、Windows携帯に興味を持ち始めたらしい。Macを使用してる人には、これは違うからスゴくおもしろいらしい。

Raine tried go karting for the first time! He LOVED it!!!!!

Pizza Party with the Icedogs

Raine's team had a pizza party to end the season! We had one hour at the arcade where Raine only played the basketball game (his arms were so sore afterwards!) and Daniel played pool. 

長かったホッケーシーズンが終わった〜。コーチ達が最後にみんなで楽しもうっ！と2時間のパーティーを企画してくれた。最初の1時間はゲームをし（レインは何かに取りつかれたかのようにずっーーーとバスケのゲームをやり続けていた（笑））、その後はピザパーティー！次のシーズンはまたスカウトされたので別のチームに行くことになったレイン、最後にチームメイトみんなと楽しい時間を過ごしました！

JenとAdrienが明日帰ってしまう、涙！楽しいときは時間が経つのが早いね。最後のディナーは中華に決定！北京ダックでした。うーん、美味しいっ！
